It is the philosophy of this learning Center that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring and discovery. The program strives to nurture and encourage the creativity and receptiveness in the child.
The Center’s purpose is to provide an atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development as a whole.
Planned within the framework of philosophy and purpose, the curriculum includes sharing and conversation time; stories, songs and fingerplays; creative art activities and crafts; games and large muscle activities; field trips throughout the community; food preparation; science and nature activities; exposure to shapes, colors, numbers and letters; and celebration of birthdays and holidays.
Willow Woods Learning Center also offers 2 Summer Camp Programs for pre-k and school age children. The program consists of a variety of learning opportunities, including field trips to local events/exhibits and swimming.
MISSION
We provide a place to learn, a place to grow while ensuring a quality childcare service which meets the needs of the parents, children and employers in our community.
VISION
To be the leader in quality early education in our community.
****
We will provide a safe, healthy, nurturing and joyful environment where children have the opportunity to grow and develop to their fullest potential.
We believe children learn best while they are having fun. We will provide a program geared toward the developmental needs of each individual child – physically, socially and emotionally.
We will provide comprehensive childcare within the framework
of highest quality developmental standards, while building a sense of community for all children and families.
Our goal is to enhance each child’s self-concept and esteem. We will provide developmentally appropriate experiences, which provide opportunities for independent decision making and social interaction while challenging both physical and cognitive skills.
